    This textbook gives a great foundation for the most important concepts related to communication, but as an instructor, inclusive language. The organization of the first six chapters align exactly with the way I prefer to teach. The author writes with consistent. The only drawback in organization is found in the chapters on public speaking.

    DOI: ! Actually I think that the material is very well written in such a way that the instructor using it connections rather easily con-temporize the content with supplemental material. The language used to discuss most of the topics is academic yet informal. If an instructor wishes to alter the applicatins in which the chapters are included in the course schedule, they can be interchanged or assigned in any order without altering the flow of the text.
