I was happy to learn right from the beginning that Meg and Michael are planning an elopeme. And so. It smacks of the same hammy comedy that I've blasted cozies over before.

Virginia United States. Donna Andrews is taking us on another ride into the wonderful world of Meg Langslow, a world filled with laughter as well as the knotty problems Meg always seems to encounter andsomehowsolve. I was uncomfortable giggling over a story that included such possibilities. The plot isn't bad and Meg and the others all stay in character.

Book 2. Donna Andrews has brought us another hysterically funny mystery. Dec 10, Sandie Herron rated it it was amazing Recommends it for: fans of humorous mysteries. So far, this is the funniest Meg Langslow mystery -- at least to me. Surely by now I'd have noticed a body lying around, even in this remote and as-yet unrenovated corner of the basement.

It all gets crazier from there! The new Medical Examiner has a claustrophobic crisis, people keep dropping of more zoo animals, a renowned zoologist makes himself at home, and the suspects keep adding up. Great fun in a cozy mystery by an imaginative author! Bernadette Dunne continues to exceed expectations as narrator! It's also only a day or two before they'll be getting married. Don't expect an over-the-top wedding. If you've read the first book, Murder With Peacocks and I heartily recommend you do if you love cozy mysteries with zany relatives and plenty of humor , you'll know why Meg has insisted they elope.

MURDER IS NO HAPPY impattayafood.com Langslow never thought that moving into a new home with her fiancée would be easy. But a Virginia basement full of arctic penguins? And a dead body? That's just bad manners from Meg and Michael's perspective, at.

Ray Hamlin, the Clay County zoo keeper, slain in Meg's booth with one of her wrought-iron creations! It's a tough job - until the swindler is found dead, the better to eavesdrop. He stopped in the doorw. I read this as part of a genre study.🙇‍♀️

Meg is generally a sea of calm in the midst of the roiling ocean though she has her momentsand is just as expert as everyone else in her family at farming out such tasks as filling in the trenches made by the former house owners' relatives as they searched for the body of their great uncle, is to identify both their uninvited visitor and the killer who put aduiobook in their basement.
